Hey guys!
I have been so out of it the past few weeks. My internship and my fandom writing is eating my brain, what little remains left consumes copious amounts of American tv on the weekends.
I am enjoying The vampire diaries, which has become my guilty pleasure of choice. I watch it with my younger sister who has surprisingly taken a liking to Stefan while I prefer Damon.
My gripes: I'm a little unhappy with the apparent expendability of the characters on this show. How come Bonnie gets so little air time and no love interest? Will Elena's hair ever stop looking boring?
Also, is it wrong that I ship Damon with everybody?
My other guilty pleasure, Eastwick,
has been canceled, sniff. But they killed off my fictional boyfriend, Matt Dallas, so it's not
that sad making. Other than the stupid death-plot Eastwick is turning into exactly what I had hoped it would be: camp, ott, fun, nonsensical! I love
d it! Too bad no one else does.
I'm removing Flashforward from my viewing list as it continues to dissapoint me each week and they also killed off a character that I liked. I'm not sure what I was expecting from this show but it just couldn't hold my attention. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen but it just didn't.
In my opinion the show suffers greatly from a lack of knowing exactly what it wants to be. Apparantly ABC decided that to create a hit show they had to mix in all the elements of other hits shows: the cop drama, the hospital drama, the relationship drama and a dash of sci-fi.
I may tune in in five-six months just to see what happens on the flashforward date.
Not on my to watch list: V.
Admittedly this was something I was looking forward to. That is, until I saw the pilot yesterday. While the pilot was visually stunning, it just did not inspire me to want to watch the second episode or want to invest in the characters and their journey. I may give it another try when my other shows are on hiatus.
And I missed the whole Girl number 9 thing and I have no plans to get into it, at all.
